Parker-Varney Elementary School
Goal: To improve instruction by integrating components of the SIG grant to provide staff development on curriculum, instruction, technology, and interventions through the use of student data to reinforce the school-wide use of a response to intervention approach that supports student growth toward proficiency in reading, writing, and math.
Goal: To implement effective communications processes that will increase collective ownership among district leadership, school leadership, faculty and staff members, parents, students and community members to provide an environment that is conducive to achievement of high standards
Goal: To implement a positive school wide behavior program (PBIS) using a tiered intervention model and student data to cultivate an environment that is conducive to student academic and social achievement.
Goal: Improve Tier 1 and 2 math instruction, particularly in the area of computation and early numeracy skills.
Goal: Improve Tier 1 and 2 literacy instruction, particularly in the area of letter naming, letter sound fluency, fluency, and comprehension
Goal: Increase parent involvement and parent training, particularly during the transition to kindergarten
Goal: Provide professional development to the staff to support the above including differentiated instruction and common core state standards.
