FREE online course, "Separating Difference from Disability for English Learners," offered in partnership with TESOL and our MSD Title III program

The course will run from March 6th - April 2nd. This is an online course with a focus on identification of English learners with suspected disabilities. The purpose of the course is to analyze the challenges facing educators as they consider EL students with suspected disabilities or behavior concerns. The course will offer educators support as they try to distinguish cultural and linguistic diversity from disability in identification, intervention, instruction, assessment and service within both special education and integrated classrooms.

Attached is a sample course syllabus for your review. The syllabus will change a bit because the new section of the course will be designed exclusively for MSD educators, but the attached syllabus will give you a sense of the scope and commitment.

There are only 35 spots in this class. Please use the link below to reserve your spot.
